More than any other profession, land surveyors find themselves in the middle of a number of compromising positions during fieldwork. But for many surveyors, fieldwork is an essential part of what they love most about their job, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Neither would we!

With the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) rule on small UAS finally effective, the second annual Commercial UAV Expo showed growth in attendance and product innovation. Exhibitors spoke about increased demand since the rule was finalized and attendees showed a yearning for more information about what drones can bring to their business.
POB is on the road quite often attending a wealth of geospatial conferences and exhibitions. This gallery showcases selfies from various shows, submitted through Twitter by POB readers as a part of our #WhereIsPOB selfie contest.
Approximately 16,000 GIS users, managers and developers gathered at the 2016 Esri UC, which included 300 moderated sessions, 450 hours of technical training and 300 software vendors. POB editorial staff attended and came up with a “coolest finds” photo collection. Enjoy!
